We can access the Leadership and Management Grant Fund for Yorkshire & Humber

Access Train to Gain government support for your investment in your Leadership and Management Skills.

Its not too good to be true! The UK Government is committed to investing in the UK labour market and this is just one of the grants available to ensure that they meet their target of improving quality of skills and training available for Business Owners, Leaders and Entrepreneurs.

Training does not need to be qualification based and can include 1:1 mentoring or coaching.   Training should be be for development of general management skills (sector specific or mandatory skills cannot be supported)

  • For the first £500 of training spend its 100% funded (you pay the VAT)
  • For the next £501 – 1500 of training spend you get 50% of the cost funded (you pay the VAT)

For Example:

-    If the training/course costs £1500 in total you receive a grant award of £1000,

-    If the training/ course costs £800 in total you receive a grant award of £650

-    If the training/course costs £500 in total you receive a grant award of £500

Additional Information

  • This grant is open to directors, owners and most senior managers of businesses in all sectors with a minimum of 5 and maximum of 250 employees
  • Payment is made by the company to YBS and is reclaimed by sending all the paperwork to the skills brokers
  • No payment is required until you have received confirmation that your grant has been awarded and all the relevant paperwork is in place
  • Your grant can be claimed as soon as the programme/course starts and is awarded through the Train to Gain government initiative.
